Bo blinked a few times, wondering if the pain meds were making him hear things. “Are you suggesting we share her, like Preston and Luke share Vivian, or Noah, Ethan, and Jimmie share Savannah?”

  “Well, what if I am?”

“Where the fuck did this come from?”

Davis ran his hand through his hair. “Hell if I know. But this is ridiculous. We’re like high school kids still whenever she’s around. Let’s just see if she would be willing to give it a try. No harm in that, is there?”

Bo didn’t know what to think. He’d never discussed it with Davis or Miranda. Hell, he’d never discussed it with anyone. “Well, all right. But if she tosses us both out on our ears for even suggesting it, I’m blaming you.”

  Davis laughed. “Deal.”

Bo’s mind reeled with erotic images as he eased his right leg out onto the pavement, and then maneuvered as well as possible, considering the brace immobilized his right knee. It wasn’t like him to be so helpless. He hated it. Davis walked behind him, but didn’t try to help him. Bo was grateful for that. He felt like enough of a wimp right now.

Miranda waited on her front porch, and then stood aside while he hobbled to her kitchen, where she told them supper was waiting and ready. The home smelled incredible, and Bo could hardly take in all the furnishings and interesting touches everywhere.

He eased into a chair, and she moved one of the other chairs under his right leg. She tucked a small pillow under his calf. “That will be more comfortable.”

“Thank you. Did you do all this yourself? I mean the decorating.”

“I sure did. You like it?”

“It’s amazing. You have real talent.”

She blushed. “Thank you, Bo. What a sweet thing to say. What can I get you all to drink?”

  “Sweet tea is fine.”

  “Davis, the same?”

  “Please.”

Davis took the seat across from Bo, and that left no place for Miranda except between them. Both men watched her pour three glasses of sweet tea from a pitcher she’d taken out of the fridge.

  “I made this just today.”

“It’s not store bought?” asked Davis.

She gave him an amused look as she placed the pitcher and the three glasses of tea on the table. “You’re kidding, right? They charge a fortune for it in the store, and it’s so easy to make.”

“He can afford expensive things,” said Bo, grinning.

Miranda chuckled. “Well, so can I, but I don’t buy anything I can make or grow myself. I hope you two are hungry.” She pulled the lid off a large serving dish in the center of the table, and both men groaned at the heavenly smell wafting from it. “I fixed pork chops and red potatoes.” Then she removed the plate from a large bowl and placed salad tongs inside it. “And this is my favorite summer salad to fix. Dig in.”

Bo couldn’t get enough of the food. He ate like he hadn’t had a decent meal in a week, and wasn’t shy about taking seconds.

“Please tell me it tastes better than what they fed you in the hospital.”

He nodded because his mouth was full, and then swallowed his food so he could answer Miranda. “Fabulous. You cook, you make sweet tea, you decorate… Is there anything you can’t do?”

“I’m useless with anything electrical, and I’m not so sure about plumbing, either.”

“Neither is Bo,” said Davis, grinning.

Bo could tell that Miranda was trying not to laugh, but it was funny. He’d never dropped anything before and he realized he’d never told them why he’d lost his grip on the AC unit. He eyed Miranda. “It’s your fault, you know.”

  “What is?”

  “My injured leg.”

She raised her brows. “Is that so? Please tell me how you arrived at that conclusion.”

“This should be good,” muttered Davis.

“You mean you haven’t heard this story?” she asked him.

Davis held up his hands. “I have no clue what he’s about to say.”

Bo leaned back in his chair as far as possible without putting extra pressure on his leg, and then he smiled at each of them in turn. “I lost my grip on the AC unit because Irwin Landmark lost his first. And the reason Irwin lost his grip started with him asking me if Miranda was too old for him.”

  “Excuse me?”

“How did he happen to ask you that?” asked Davis.

“He said, and I quote, ‘She’s so hot. Do you think she’d go out with me, or am I too young for her?’”

“Oh, he did not.” Miranda’s face turned as red as a freshly boiled lobster, and he and Davis both grinned at her. “He’s not even twenty-one yet, is he?”

  “Why?” asked Bo. “You interested?”

Miranda shook her head. “You two are ridiculous.”

Bo heard the humor in her voice, and exchanged a knowing glance with Davis. He watched her pour them each another glass of sweet tea, but she didn’t look them in the eyes.

“He did not really say that, did he?”

“He most certainly did. I told him it wouldn’t be very gentlemanly of me to tell him your age, and then he asked me if I’d known you in high school. I told him I had, and that we had dated, and he asked me why I’d never asked you out again, and I told him I might just do it. That’s when he lost his grip on the unit, and, because his question affected me so much, I lost mine, too.”

She stopped in the act of bringing her fork to her mouth and eyed them both, her face totally serious now. “Why haven’t you? Either of you? I’d really like to know the answer to that question.”

“Funny you should ask.” Bo summarized his and Davis’s conversation on the way to her home, and then concluded by telling her they both wanted to see her again. At the same time.

Bo nearly came in his pants at the look of lust in her pretty green eyes. “You mean like Savannah and Vivian?”

“Well, yes,” said Davis. “But we don’t have to jump into bed right away. I mean, not that I wouldn’t go for that, and I’m sure Bo would, too, but we can start with simply doing things together.”

Bo shot him a droll look, and then cut his gaze back toward Miranda. “What Doc Smooth here is trying to say is yes, like Savannah and Vivian. Only at our own pace, of course.”

“I don’t know what to say.” She brushed her hands over her arms. “I’ve fantasized about that.”

“You have?” They asked it at the same time, and then all three laughed.

“Yes, I have. And I have to admit I’m jealous of Savannah and Vivian. Oh, not because of who they’re seeing, but because they have men in their lives. God.” She rested her chin in her hands. “That makes me sound pathetic.”

Bo took her hand, and the touch sent tiny jolts of electricity straight to his dick. “No it does not. We’re the pathetic ones. We’ve danced around this issue for years. You and I both got our hearts torn out, but it’s been over now for a long time. Isn’t it time we lived our lives again?”

Davis took her other hand. “I agree with Bo. I never go out. It’s ridiculous. Miranda, I’ve never gotten over you. I say we all take this chance and run with it. If not now, when? And the hell with what anyone in this town thinks of it.”

She nodded several times, a slow, sexy smile spreading over her face, and then she squeezed their hands. “All right. Let’s do it. Why not? I’m game.”

Bo would have pumped his fist in the air, but it was more fun to lift her hand to his lips and kiss the back of it, just to see that look in her eyes again.

  Chapter Four

Miranda finished her supper, but her appetite for food was gone. She wanted these two men. She’d wanted them for years now. The floodgates had been opened and there was no closing them again. She’d been waiting for this for years, and now that it had been set into motion, she knew it would consume her every waking thought. She wouldn’t be satisfied by anything except hot sex with them both at the same time.

She rinsed off the dishes and placed them in the dishwashe
r, and then asked the guys if they wanted anything else to eat or drink.

Bo placed his hands on his abdomen. “I can barely move. That was delicious. Thank you.”

“Same here,” said Davis. “I haven’t had a home-cooked meal that good in a coon’s age.” He leaned forward. “I’m going to arrange to get Saturday night off. Think you could do the same?”

“Um, sure. I’m fairly certain I could.” She’d figure something out, even if it meant pretending to be too sick to take call.

He gave her a long, searching look. “I thought maybe Bo and I could come over and visit with you. Watch a movie or something.”

She smiled at the tone in his voice. It was so uncertain, but there was no mistaking the intention of his words. “Or something?”

Bo swore softly under his breath. “He means have sex with you.”

She laughed. One of the things she’d always loved about Bo was his direct way of speaking. Davis, on the other hand, had always been this way. Dropping hints so he didn’t sound like a dog in heat but his meaning still crystal clear. “I know what he meant, but thank you for clarifying.”

The men exchanged a glance that suggested they weren’t sure of the next step. It touched her heart that these two big, strong, gorgeous men were shy about this. “I’ll get the night off. Don’t you worry. Come over and we’ll see what happens.”

She changed the subject on purpose because the atmosphere was too awkward right now. They talked for another hour about everything except sex. Finally, both men rose to go home, and they each looked a lot more relaxed than they had earlier.

While she was happy about that, this was still a lot to take in, and she knew it would be a long time before she fell asleep tonight. Her mind would come alive with all the possibilities, and she was certain she’d have erotic dreams when she did finally sleep.

“I’d better get this guy home,” Davis. “It’s past his bedtime.”

“Hysterical. Really. You should take that show on the road. Far, far away.” He waggled his eyebrows at Miranda and she laughed.

“Is that your secret plan?” she asked. “Make Davis believe he could be a stand-up comedian so he’ll leave town?”

  “She found me out.”

“Watch it,” said Davis. “I know how to kill people and make it look like an accident.”

“That’s true,” she said. “Be careful, Bo. We both know how to do that.”

Bo glanced over his shoulder at Davis. “Well, I can fuck up the plumbing or electrical in your house six ways to Sunday.”

Davis snorted. “Yeah, but can you hold onto an AC unit?”

Miranda rolled her eyes. “All right, you two. Davis, please take Bo home before he injures the other leg.” She smiled, watching Davis keep an eye on Bo as he hobbled across her wooden floor. These two had been friends a long time, and they still were. And now they wanted to see her at the same time.

If Bo hadn’t injured his leg, would this have happened? She’d never wish harm on anyone but it had taken a silly bet made while Bo was full of pain meds to turn the discussion between these two in this direction. What did that say about the three of them?

They reached her front door and she opened it, and then followed them out onto the porch. It was a perfect June evening in Middle, Tennessee. The air was alive with the smell of flowers, and insects sang a sweet song. She glanced up at the sky. “The moon is full. Isn’t it, beautiful?”

“Not as beautiful as you are.”

Her breath caught in her throat at the sound of Bo’s voice. Sexy, tender, and so damn romantic she nearly came. Her pulse raced and her breathing quickened.

“I’d kiss you but it’s all I can do to balance on both feet with this damn brace on.”

“We can work around that.” Miranda cupped his face and kissed him. He groaned deep in his throat, and when she teased his mouth with her tongue, he parted his lips to let her inside. She moaned as his mouth moved over hers in ways he hadn’t yet learned the last time she’d kissed him. Wow. He had certainly come a long way since high school.

When she released the kiss, she fought the urge to beg them both to come back inside. The hell with waiting until Saturday. That was three days away!

“My turn,” said Davis, quietly, but with conviction in his voice. He didn’t wait for her to approach him. Davis pulled her into a tight embrace and captured her mouth in a kiss so hot, she was sure her porch floor would have burn marks on it when they finished.

Her pussy was soaked now, and her clit began to throb. Holy hell. How in the name of heaven was she supposed to sleep after this?

Davis released her mouth and then cupped her face. “Is it Saturday yet?”

  “Yes.”

Bo laughed, but it was a nervous laugh. “You know something, it just occurred to me that there is no fucking way I can have sex with this damn wound in my leg.”

That broke the spell. Miranda let out a long sigh. “Shit. Um, yeah, you’re right. Okay.” She cut her gaze toward Davis. “Help me out here. How can we get around this?”

He frowned then rubbed his chin. “Well, you on top won’t work. Too much weight on the leg. Not that I’m saying you’re fat. Not at all.”

She smiled and shook her head. “I didn’t take it that way.”

“And him on top won’t work either. Actually, fuck. I hate to say this, but even him standing isn’t a great idea. Too much pressure on the wound. I mean to have sex at all there’s too much pressure, no matter how you position yourself. Unless you can do it without moving your right leg.”

Bo glanced from one to the other, his gaze darkening. “So that’s it? I’m out?”

“No,” said Miranda. “Not a chance. We’re in this together.” She gave Davis a desperate look.

“Absolutely,” he said. “We’ll figure it out. You’re part of this.”

“I can use my mouth,” said Miranda. “And you can use yours.” Bo swore under his breath and shot her a look of gratitude mixed with lust. She cut her gaze toward Davis, whose jaw hung open. “Right? That won’t hurt his leg, will it?”

“Ah…no.” His eyes were filled with delighted surprise. “Not at all. As long as you’re careful.”

“Works for me,” said Bo. He reached for her, so she moved closer to him. She didn’t want him falling. He tried to put his arms around her and she helped him, bracing his right leg with her left one. “Thank you,” he whispered.

“No, thank you. Both of you. For everything. For coming over for supper, for the incredibly hot kisses, and for having this conversation just now. Not sure I can wait for Saturday, though.”

They each laughed softly, and then Bo kissed her again. When he let go of her, Davis gave her another lingering kiss, and then the men walked down the stairs. They each turned to wave several times, and she watched until Davis had helped Bo into the car and driven away.

Miranda stared at the moon again, and then took a seat in one of the wicker chairs on the porch. It was late and she had to get up early, but she wasn’t tired now. Not even close. She curled her legs underneath her body and touched her mouth, still able to feel their lips on hers. Was this real? Had both objects of her unending fantasies really been inside her home this evening, eating and talking like they did it all the time?

Had they both actually confessed to her the same thoughts she entertained every day? They still had feelings for her, just as she’d never gotten over them. They wanted to give this a try with her again. With her at the same time. They wanted to make love to her. At the same time.

Why hadn’t she known this before tonight? Why had she never told either man her secret desires? Why had she and Bo waited almost ten years to seek out each other’s company, and why had she and Davis never gone out on a date since her divorce?

Miranda had no answers, and neither did the moon she gave another glance. But, suddenly, it didn’t matter as much as it had before. Because tonight had really happened. Bo and Davis had kissed her, eaten supper with her, drank w
ay too much sweet tea with her, and were coming over on Saturday to make love to her. She’d find a way to include Bo in this to his satisfaction, even if she had to ask a surgeon exactly what he could or couldn’t do.

And then it hit her. Ethan Drake and Preston Benson were trauma surgeons. Neither one had done Bo’s repair, but they would certainly know what he could do to get around this sensitive issue. And, they’d understand why she needed to know, but wouldn’t judge her for asking. And neither man would judge Bo or Davis, either.

Miranda smiled and went into the house, her plan for the morning in place. Now she could sleep. And now she also hoped her dreams were filled with decadent, erotic images to help her make it through the next three days.

  Chapter Five

Thursday morning, Miranda woke to a text message from Bo, and one from Davis. Both thanked her again for the previous evening, and told her how much they were looking forward to Saturday. Bo also sent a funny cartoon depicting a man in a full body cast, trying to have sex. She laughed so hard she nearly wet herself.

Davis had added an adult emoji that included a blindfold and whip. That had her imagining all sorts of kinky scenarios that might play out on Saturday, to the point she nearly drove past the hospital on her way to work. She was that distracted.

She called Bo when she had a quick break during the morning to check on him. He said three of his cousins had moved into his house, insisting he needed their constant presence to survive. She laughed until tears ran down her face at his description of how annoying it was to have them there, especially when he told her he’d actually had to reassure one of them that he was perfectly capable of wiping his own ass, even with the leg brace on.

“You might never get rid of them,” she said.

“No kidding. Once they saw how I actually live, I think they all decided it was time to save me from myself. I now have more food in the fridge than I eat in a month. My clothes are folded, inside dresser drawers, and hung up in the closet. I couldn’t find my damn underwear this morning, for God’s sake.”
