“How’s your day going?” she asked.
“Not too bad. I should be out of here by four unless something happens.”
“Do they all miss me?”
“Yes. They’re devastated.”
They ate surrounded by others, but Savannah wasn’t going to wait any longer. She leaned close to Ethan. “I have something to tell you and it can’t wait.”
He raised his brows.
“I love you, Ethan.”
He smiled, glanced around, and then leaned over and kissed her. She tasted cold chicken and mayo, but it was the sweetest taste in the whole world as far as she was concerned. “Just like that?” he asked.
“No, not really. It just took me a while to realize I love all three of you.”
“And we love you. So when are you moving in?”
“I was thinking about that this morning. I’m going to list my house for sale.”
Ethan put down his sandwich and pulled her close. “You have made me happier than you can even imagine. If there weren’t dozens of our co-workers around right now, I’d make love to you until neither one of us could walk.”
She giggled, and her heart soared. “Well, we do have tonight.”
He hugged her for so long she began to hear soft laughter and whispered comments around them, but it hardly mattered. The only thing that mattered was that she had her three men, and they were all happy together.
When he finally released her, the look in his eyes was joyful, and that made her want to push him on top of the table and fuck him silly.
“So, what about Noah?” he asked. “Think we can convince him to move in, too?”
“Oh, I think we can. He’s quite taken with your hot tub and your workout room. Not to mention the media room.”
“He’s a man of uncomplicated needs. By the way, sorry we left the kitchen such a mess this morning. We all overslept.”
“I can’t imagine why. Don’t worry about it. I cleaned it up.”
“Savannah, you’re not the maid.”
“I know. And thank you for clarifying that. But I don’t mind helping with chores.”
“We’ll all pitch in and do them. I don’t want you thinking you’re there to pick up after three slobs.”
When Ethan had to return to the unit, Savannah took the basket back to his house and called her cousin, Donna Creighton, who owned the only realty company in town. She’d recently sold both Vivian’s and Luke’s homes, and was certain she could sell Savannah’s as well.
She spent the rest of the day on Ethan’s front porch, sitting on the sofa and reading. It was one of the most relaxing days she’d had in a long time, and also one of the most peaceful. Making the decision to sell her house felt so right, as did admitting her feelings for all three men. She felt like she was on the verge of a whole new life. One in which all her dreams would finally come true.
Noah came home first, bringing with him steaks, shrimp, and vegetables he’d picked up on the way home. “I’m going to take a quick shower and then we’ll wait for Jimmie to get here before firing up the grill.”
“What can I do to help?”
Noah grinned. “I might need some help in the shower.”
“What a wickedly wonderful idea.” She stripped off her clothes as she followed him to the bathroom. Each of the guest rooms in Ethan’s home had its own, and Noah had already filled his with personal products all over the counter top and inside the shower.
“You’ve practically moved in, Noah.” He turned on the water in the shower and she stepped inside with him. “When are you going to move in for good?”
“I don’t know. When are you?”
She grinned. “I called my cousin today. My home is going up for sale.”
He pulled her close and tugged her hair. “Oh yeah? Then I guess I’ll have to do the same. Can’t have Ethan and Jimmie ravishing you while I’m home alone, now can we?”
“Absolutely not.” He kissed her as the warm water cascaded over them, and when he released it, he dumped some of his shower gel into one palm. She held out her hands and he poured some into them, and then they took turns washing each other, laughing as their bodies became slick.
Noah kissed her again, grinding his dick against her, and she moaned constantly. Her need for him was powerful and strong. Before all of the shower gel was off their bodies, he backed her up against the far wall and lifted her as if she weighed nothing. He plunged his dick into her and fucked her, slamming into her with strength and speed that mesmerized her.
She loved his strong, urgent love-making. It was wild and raw, and never ceased to bring her to climax quickly. She cried out as the first one overtook her, and then he withdrew, gently lowered her feet to the floor, and led her to the built-in seat. “Turn around and bend over.”
She couldn’t have disobeyed that voice if she’d wanted to. She rested her elbows on the seat and moaned loudly as he pushed his cock into her pussy from behind. He reached around and played with her breasts as he fucked her silly, and when a second orgasm crashed over her, all she could do was hang on as he cried out loudly and came inside her.
They held each other again under the spray, and when the water turned cool they stepped out, still holding onto each other. “I will never grow tired of making love to you. Never.”
“Me either,” she said.
He gave her such a longing look that she wondered if he was all right. “Sometimes I wonder what might have happened if Jimmie hadn’t left town. Would you and he have gotten back together earlier?”
“I don’t know. I’m not same person now as I was then.”
“So you might not have stuck with either of us back then.”
She shook her head. “I wouldn’t have, Noah. I know I wouldn’t have.” She put her arms around him again. “This was meant to be. What we have now. All of us. I know it deep in my soul.”
He kissed her, and then they heard Ethan calling for them.
When they dressed and found him, he was seasoning the steaks. “These look fabulous. Jimmie called and said he’ll be here an hour early, so I thought I’d better get them ready…” His voice trailed off as he took in their wet hair. “Been in the hot tub again?”
Noah removed the shrimp and veggies from the fridge. “Shower. Let me help you get dinner started since Jimmie will be here soon.”
Ethan gave Savannah a half smile, but she saw the envy deep in his eyes, and knew she had to say something. “It was spur of the moment. Just like with Jimmie the night before last on the porch.”
“It’s cool. We agreed to this.”
Noah snapped his fingers. “Shit. I forgot something in my car. Be right back.”
The look he shot her told her hadn’t forgotten anything. He was giving her some alone time with Ethan. As soon as Noah was out the door, she stood next to Ethan. “This can’t work unless we all toss away the jealousy.”
He kept his gaze on the steaks. “I know that. I’m the one who started all this, remember? By telling you my fantasy. And then showing those two how to play safely, and helping you explore that side of your personality.”
“But now you can’t handle it?”
He finally looked into her eyes. “I’ll be fine, Savannah. Honestly. Give me some time.” His gaze softened. “I never expected to fall in love with you. And definitely not this hard or fast.”
“Oh, Ethan. I didn’t expect it either. Not with any of you. I mean I’ve always had a soft spot for Jimmie, but this is different. I’ve never felt this before. Not for anyone, let alone three men. It’s both overwhelming and totally amazing. I have to get used to it, too.”
Whatever she’d just said, it seemed to work. The jealousy left his eyes, and his smile was genuine this time. “I suppose a relationship like this takes a lot of work.”
“Yes. And constant communication.”
He leaned over and kissed her deeply. “Then that’s what we’ll all keep doing. I promise. Because I won’t lose you.”
“I don’t wa
nt to lose you, either.”
They were still staring into each other’s eyes when Noah came in, carrying a plastic bag, but it looked empty to her. “Be right back. Just need to run this up to my room.”
“Your room?” asked Ethan, his voice full of humor. “You finally moving in for real?”
Noah grinned. “I think I will. Yes.”
“About time.”
She flashed Noah a look of gratitude before he left the room, and then returned to helping Ethan with the steaks.
Less than an hour later, the three were out on the back porch with the grill fired up and a bottle of wine opened. Noah was entertaining them with a story about something that had happened at work, and they were laughing so hard they barely heard Jimmie walk out onto the porch.
Savannah took one look at his face, and rose to walk toward him. “What happened? Are you okay?”
He gave her an odd look. “You didn’t hear? It’s all over town.”
“What is?”
“They arrested my father two hours ago.”
Savannah put a hand to her mouth. “Oh, God…”
“We didn’t hear,” said Noah. “We’ve been out here making dinner.”
Jimmie’s eyes had a faraway look. “I was working when the ADA called me. Apparently there’s no statute of limitations on murder charges. He said they have enough evidence to take this to the grand jury. They’re seeking charges on voluntary manslaughter.”
“It will be okay, Jimmie.” Noah’s voice was full of confidence, but Jimmie looked like a lost little boy.
“At least they believed you enough to investigate it,” said Ethan.
Jimmie nodded, and then he plopped down in the nearest chair. “They looked at her hospital records again, and they went over the statement he gave to the police. The ADA asked me why I had never spoken to them, and I couldn’t remember.”
Savannah knelt next to him. “You were only fifteen. You were traumatized.”
“I know, but don’t you think they should have asked me?”
“Not in this town,” said Noah, quietly.
“That’s what I told him. The ADA. I said in Sin, if my father tells the police this is what happened, then that’s what happened. As far as I know, they never asked me.”
She stroked his arm. “I’m so proud of you for seeing this through.”
“I should be upset but I’m not.”
“What do you feel?” asked Noah.
He looked at each of them in turn, slowly. “I’m relieved. Is that horrible?”
“No.” They all answered at once.
“I’m so…grateful. I feel like my mother will finally be at peace. Like she’s been trying to tell me all these years to do something about it, and I never could.” He brushed a hand over Savannah’s hair. “Not until I got back together with you.” Then he glanced toward Noah and Ethan. “And not until we all started this together. Whatever we’re doing. You two are my best male friends. And Savannah is the only woman I’ve ever truly loved.” He placed a hand over his heart. “In here.”
“I love you, too,” she whispered.
“Thank you for this. All of you. Thank you.”
Chapter Sixteen
The next week went by quickly for all three. The entire town was buzzing with the news, and Savannah was grateful she was off for a few more days. It would be difficult enough to return to work and deal with the backlash. Her phone rang constantly, and there were dozens of text messages every hour.
Most were from her family, making sure she was all right and that Jimmie had someone with him. But some were from former friends or neighbors she barely spoke to anymore, telling her exactly what they thought of her and her sinful ways.
She told the guys she was going to change her number and they all told her that the four of them would have to. Each of them had been fielding the same types of calls and texts, especially Jimmie.
Three days before she went back to work, Savannah borrowed a truck from her cousin Dale, and she and Noah used it plus his SUV to move the last of her personal things out of her house. Most of the furniture had been given to her over the years from various family members, and it was very old and worn. Even her bedroom set was in poor condition, since it had been passed down through two generations already when she’d started using it as a teen.
Donna helped her find an organization to donate the furniture to, and they showed up the day after she moved what she was keeping into Ethan’s house. Her neighbors stood outside and watched three burly men load up the furniture into a moving van, and then Savannah and Ethan took one last walk through the house.
He’d taken the day off to make sure she wasn’t alone in case she needed something done to the house before turning in the keys to Donna. The sign was already out front, listing it for sale, and Noah’s house had listed that very morning.
“Well, this is it,” she said. “I’m officially living with a man.”
He put his arm around her. “Three of them.”
“I hope it sells. It needs a lot of work but we listed all that on the disclosure form, and it’s priced below its value.”
“It will sell. It’s an adorable home for someone who wants to fix it up and make it their own.”
They walked outside and climbed into his car, and then he asked if she wanted to take a drive. “It’s going to storm tomorrow. We should take advantage of this pretty day while we have it.”
They dropped off the keys at Donna’s office in town, and then picked up take-out food and drove to Henry Horton State Park. After they ate while sitting outside, they walked along the trails for a bit, then decided to head back to Sin once the wind kicked up.
“It’s really going to storm,” she said.
“Don’t worry. I’ll keep you safe.”
She turned in her seat to face him as he drove through the woods, then reached over and brushed a hand up his leg. “And who will keep you safe, doc?”
“From you? No one. You’re trouble.”
She laughed then moved her hand up and down his thigh, until he began to make soft, sexy noises. “You’re making it rather difficult to drive, beautiful.”
“So stop somewhere.”
He gave her a look of incredulity. “What…seriously?”
“Why not?”
“Because I don’t want the park rangers to arrest me.”
“We’ll be quick then. We won’t even take off all our clothes.”
“Do you know how long it’s been since I’ve had sex in a car?”
“No. Tell me.”
He laughed. “I have no idea.”
“All the more reason to do it now.”
Ethan found a spot that looked like it used to be a trail leading somewhere, and parked his car there. Savannah practically pulled him into the back seat and climbed on top of him, kissing him like it might be the last time she could. She’d never been so turned-on.
She pulled down his jeans and took his cock into her mouth, and he cried out loudly, tangling his fingers in her hair. When she finally came up for air, a fine sheen of sweat covered his face. “Christ. Don’t stop now. Please.”
“I’m not.” She took off her shorts and panties, and then climbed back on top, sheathing his dick with her pussy. She fucked him hard and rough, and when he grasped her hips and pushed up into her, she cried out loudly as a climax raced through her entire body. She swore she could feel the contractions in her fingers and toes.
It didn’t take long for him to come, either, and she lay down against him, breathing hard when it was over. “That was worth the drive,” she said.
He stroked her hair. “You are the sexiest woman I have ever met. I love you so much.”
She lifted her head and kissed him. “I love you, too.”
When her cell phone rang, she heard his, too, and they both groaned. “When will this stop?” she asked.
“Probably once the grand jury meets. But then if they indict him, it will start up again.”
She sig
hed loudly, and then crawled off him and put her shorts and panties back on. “I guess we’d better get back.”
“I wish we didn’t have to. I wish I could just run away with you, Noah, and Jimmie. Go somewhere new, where no one knows us.”
She held Ethan close for a few moments, and then once they started driving again he stopped at a rest area so she could clean up and use the bathroom. When they got back into his car, he stared at his phone with an odd look on his face.
“What is it?”
“You’d better check yours, too. I’m sure you have the same message.”
Her heart was pounding so loudly she was sure he could hear it, too. “Why? What does it say?” She picked up her phone and scrolled to the messages, but she couldn’t understand what she read. Panic threatened to overwhelm her. “What is this? I don’t understand. Help me, Ethan. I don’t understand what this says.”
He pulled her close and held her tightly, making soft noises. “It’s okay. It will be all right.”
“No. No it won’t. Not ever. This will never be okay.”
* * * *
Ethan could barely drive, but he knew he had to get Savannah back to Sin. On the way, he called her parents who said they’d already called their insurance agent, and that the police needed to speak to her. He asked if they were still there, and then he was talking to one of the local sheriffs who asked Ethan to walk him through the events of the past few weeks.
Ethan put the phone on speaker so Savannah could hear and talk as well. The only part the sheriff seemed terribly interested in was when Savannah had moved out, so she explained she’d been moving her personal items out for about two weeks, but that she’d donated the furniture she didn’t want, and the truck had left no more than two hours earlier.
“The fire started thirty minutes ago. Fire chief is here and they think it was arson. Someone threw something through a window.”
